People, you can’t believe how much joy and enthusiasm flew through the Discorporate-headquarters the last days.
We are extremely proud and challenged to sign US-Band CAPILLARY ACTION and release their music in Europe. This breathtaking group (based in Philadelphia and New York) released two acclaimed and complety different records so far and plays with an ever-rotating cast of characters. The only constant, Mastermind Jonathan Pfeffer, is 22 years (!) old… but he already composes some of the most stimulating music in contemporary experimental rock: Free Jazz horns and Brazilian rhythms intersect with sweetly crooned vocals and the ferocity of a raging rockband.
The band has toured endlessly the last two years, mainly through the USA and Europe, playing over 300 shows alongside Shudder To Think, Joe Lally (Fugazi), Ruins, Dos, Daughters and 31Knots.
Expect the release of their third masterpiece “So Embarrassing”, followed by a three-month-Europe-Tour, in Spring 2009. And now… CHECK THEM OUT and FALL TO YOUR KNEES -> CLICK!

Yes yes… Christian Buchmann, accidental guitarist of Subjazzed-Strongrock-Outfit OSIS KRULL, actually plays classical guitar. This strange dude just finished his exams in “Guitar Worldmusic” and on YouTube you can watch some videos of his amazing stuff: WATCH HERBERT HALL!

Discorporate Records is happy to announce the signing of French band ZARBOTH. Actually a project of our dear friend Etienne Gaillochet (of We Insist!) with Phil Reptil (of Osteti), this Paris-based duo is going to settle down in our cosy shelter for the weird and wicked.
ZARBOTH’s plans include the release of a Debut-CD in 2009 (in cooperation with Exile On Mainstream Records) and some touring of course. You’ll have the opportunity to see their “maiden voyage” in January 2009, when they support The Season Standard and Schnaak live in France. Be prepared and check them out here.

“Squeeze Me Ahead Of Line” will be released November 18th 2008 in the USA via our friends of Unsung Records (Ryko Distribution / Warner Music). Release dates for the rest of Europe and Japan coming soon…

The booking for the TSS-Winter-Tour is almost complete. The four guys will do some shows in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with an amazing visual-show and with the help of SCHNAAK (in January) and ZARBOTH (in France). Be there!

After the release of the “Galao EP” we heard not much of the Club. Christoph’s been in Shanghai to have some solo-gigs over there, Christopher has been seen last in Moldova and Zonnhaider-Founder Martin is involved in several other projects. That is called “creative intermission”, yes.

The two twins Mathias and Johannes schedule the release of their Debut-EP “Wo gefischt wird, da sind auch Möwen” (Live in Berlin) for early 2009, followed by tours in Europe and the USA later next year. Before that they join THE SEASON STANDARD on their Winter-Tour in January.

Like THE ZONNHAIDER’S CLUB also Tarentatec are going to have a little break. Due to reasons like studies, other projects and creativity the founding member of Discorporate will take a rest until next spring. In a complete new lineup and with new songs the guys are preparing a little tour in 2009 and also the recording of another longplayer.

For all the hardcore shoppers: we refurbished and reopened our shop. Bear with small difficulties, we are still in testing.

After a existence of 4 months, a handful of rehearsals and 8 cheered gigs, this Noise-Terror-Yeehaa-Duo is about to record a real CD. Under the direction of producer Thommy Krawallo, SCHNAAK will play two gigs with audience at Kabumm Records (Rosenthaler Platz, Berlin) on the 3rd and 4th of July. These nights will be recorded and in August 2008 you can calculate on a release of a SCHNAAK-Live-EP.
Whoever belongs to those complete idiots, who havn’t seen SCHNAAK live yet, has a few additional chances in the next time:

Formerly part of the Tour-Edition on DVD, we can now present you “The Video Experience” for a limited period. This 27-minute-documentary/film about TARENTATEC and OSIS KRULL has been made by our dear friend MUREIS, who put together live-stuff, rehearsal material, video-art and many beautiful outtakes. We love the way he did it!

In precisely one month a Split-CD hits the market – this might be the soundtrack of our small world.
TARENTATEC and their unequal twins OSIS KRULL have got together, hanging around with lots of friends and making music. The result is a fully packed (more than 78 minutes!) Split-CD fraught with superlatives. Five Tarentatec songs, Five Osis Krull songs and a heap of playful fragments are to be heard on THE CANDY AND SPRINGTIME EXPERIENCE.
More spirit, more variety and more love to music is simply not possible.
18 songs were recorded, a 8-piece booklet supplies you with visual information about the fuckheads and the Special Edition (strictly limited!) contains a Video-CD with live concerts, outtakes and videos from the life of the Discorporate collective. This CD is a must!

Our tender darlings of THE ZONNHAIDER’S CLUB put the beginning in the Discorporate-spring-offensive. Growing from a duet to a quartet, they impressively are giving their flood of ideas a garment with this beautiful Mini-CD.
5 (in length as well as in claim) radiounsuitable songs accommodates the GALAO EP and already the first tones pull the listener in that world which he had to leave at the end of “The Forthcoming Spring”. Wonderful pop music between electroacoustics, jazz and indie. Playful and unwieldy jewels. Sometimes sanguine and naive, sometimes also meager, melancholy and gloomily. That the elegant dreariness of the debut album is enriched now by two musicians is to be recognized clearly. More colorfully and more courageously THE ZONNHAIDER’S CLUB does what he does.

We are proud to announce the signing of a new family-member:
SCHNAAK has reached us by night. Evolved from a foggy crackpot-idea, Johannes Döpping (Tarentatec, Osis Krull) and Mathias Jähnig (The Season Standard) join forces to create a monstrous noise-duo. In just a few days last week the two have recorded (in a beautiful crappy way) 5 songs in a muddy rehearsal-room in Dresden. Even if the actual idea was to jam a bit together to have some variation from their main-bands, you may reckon on an EP this year, as well as several live-activities.
Get ready for a riff’n’break-inferno!
