Friends of experimental music,
Most valued starkrock-fanatics,
Dear jazz-police and all you loving ones out there:
A true jewel is waiting for you.
„The Candy and Springtime Experience“ is literally going to sweeten your spring. Most notably it could restore your belief in candid rock music.
TARENTATEC vs. OSIS KRULL - encounter of the giants.
Better: Gathering of the coolest shitheads in strongrock-circus!
Finally the two brothers in arms met to vividly and plainly eternalize each other's essence on a record. After all they share a drummer (third worst in the world, by the way), a cholerical label boss and a mutual philosophy (well.. we will let you know about it in time, okay?). Finally emerging: a manifest of love and insufficiency, bristeling with creativity and spirit. A Split-CD of a special kind – no relationship of purpose to keep down the pressing costs, but an imperative necessity.
Recorded at the second home, the sheds in Ilmenau, in the freezing winter of 2007/2008, "The Candy and Springtime Experience" sees the light of day in the bloom of the year. In the depths of the Thuringian Forests there are at least no anoying neighbours and the Bratwurst is unquestionably the best.
The sheds - a place that provided the rehearsal and record area of Tarentatec's last EP „Baracke 5“ - funny enough the building is still in place. A cosy rundown hideaway at least.
What to expect?
Five wonderful Tarentatec songs – from complex rocking to sensitively mesmerizing, they manifest all their praised qualities and still show even more sides of their multimusical personalities.
Five instrumental Osis Krull constructs – dodgy strongrock-doomjazz,
definetely nothing for weak and impatient nerves.
The third part – a conglomeration of jam sessions, word scraps, home recordings and a couple of inanities including a special appearance by shed caretaker Jäger at "Back From Berlin" – predicate: Essential!
Bottom line: A baby of two allied, but extrem diverse bands and their friends; hatched with true love and packed (78 min) with a legion of songs and snapshots.
This split CD does not only present the sounds of planet Osis Krull for the first time on CD, but also introduces a new member of the family: Rhodes prophet and "god of the organ" Lars Mäurer (Charlie Bucket Trio&, Wise In Time, Feindrehstar etc). This afro-wearing, coke-drinking jazz-math-academic contributes his key skills to most songs. Whoever sees this magnificent fogey live at the TarOsis Loveclub is going to know why we are all happy to have him aboard.
So if you want to know what Discorporate Records is all about, where we come from and in what matters of course we want to rest until eternity: Get a grip on "The Candy and Springtime Experience"! Now!
