The experimental-artist Billy Roisz will be part of the 62nd Berlinale with her latest shortmovie zounk!, which is a “brightly colored decomposition of the song Eisenwalzer” – one of the more industrial compositions on Broken.Heart.Collector’s seltitled debut (2011, DISREC18).

Although we heard that in the credits of the movie they spelled “Discorporate” incorrectly (who cares?), we can’t wait to see this.
Maja Osojnik, the Slovenian chanteuse of Broken.Heart.Collector, will be present at the screening together with the director at the Berlinale Filmfestival on February 14th.

TARENTATEC return to ZAPPANALE
We’re happy to announce, that AUFRICHTIGES ZAPPA aka Tarentatec will be back for good at this year’s ZAPPANALE FESTIVAL.
They’ll perform their high energy Zappa-Freakout-Set as the final act of the festival, August 4th 2012 @ the Mystery Stage.
ZAPPANALE will feature lots of good and bad bands, including MOTORPSYCHO, ALICE COOPER (!) and GARY LUCAS among others.

Imagine, the Jazz alien Sun Ra at one of his intergalactic travels tumbles through a time warp and lands 2011 in the rehearsal room of the Melvins. SchnAAk’s masterpiece “Wake up Colossus” is now to be heard entirely at their Bandcamp. Feel free to purchase the CD or LP though. Check: wakeupcolossus.bandcamp.com
“Wake up Colossus” is now out since a month and SchnAAk already have plans for the future. The two are about to record an EP, which will be out in autumn on TAPE and DOWNLOAD exclusively. The release of that EP will be followed by a little tour in late September/October.
This tour will be the last you’ll see from SchnAAk in the foreseeable future, since Mathias will leave old Europe for a one-year-stay in Namibia (Africa). Needless to say that Mathias and SchnAAk will do music down there, so they won’t disappear from the face of this planet and they’ll definitely be touring next year too. Mathias will come through the alps with an army of elephants – at least that’s the plan.
